Having worked with our Partner’s Unipos in Northern Ireland for a number of years, we were invited to tender for a brand new Jobs and Benefits Office in Strabane; this presented both parties with a unique opportunity to pilot our new tablet based systems.
As an existing Lonsto systems user, the team at Strabane were very familiar with the workings of our existing systems. Support from Partners and Customers played a big role in ensuring that the project and solution provided, not only met the customers immediate requirements but also included a systems manager for real-time monitoring.
Due to the nature of the project and scale of installation, the Project Plan was to ensure that at all stages the key stakeholders were informed to ensure the smooth planning and installation of such a complex setup.
Rigorous smoke testing was carried out at our test lab to ensure that all elements of the system were fit for purposes prior to installation. Working direct with the tablet manufacturers, we were able to modify the tablet hardware and software requirements, thus ensuring the longevity and performance of the tablet devices using a customised Android OS for QMS.
