Lonsto International Limited was founded in 1970 by Rodger Dudding. His vision was to enhance and improve customer service within the United Kingdom at a time when there were few, if any, Systems in place. His ideas to control customer flow and traffic revolutionised retail environments and brought a new order to a variety of institutional markets.
It was on a visit to Stockholm in 1970 that Rodger Dudding recognised a primitive form of Queue Management, which could be adapted, enhanced and introduced to the UK and now globally.
The first Lonsto systems were sold to Green Shield Stamps and Tesco Stores Ltd. Other clients followed including Harrods, Selfridges, Asda, Co-op and Clarks Shoes.
Local authorities recognised the potential right across political and geographical demographics from The London Borough of Brent to Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and from as far south as Plymouth to as far north as Falkirk.
Lonsto was awarded prestigious contracts with major high street banks such as Barclays, NatWest and Midland and we were the first to introduce Queue Management Systems to Government Agencies such as Job Centres, National Health Trusts, Tourist Boards, Hospitals and the Passport Office.
A new division specialising in high level security equipment has developed into an independent auxiliary area offering Convex Security Mirrors, Till Guards, Till Safes, Cash Lift Trolleys and other security devices.
Today, Lonsto is truly global. We export and install our systems anywhere in the world offering a bespoke design service to meet clients’ individual specifications. Our quotations and consultations are submitted free of charge and without obligation.
Your business is our business. We can solve your queuing dilemmas and help you manage customer throughput, increase efficiency, reduce tension and enhance profitability.
During the last 36 years, Lonsto have had the opportunity to work with a number of organisations from an array of queuing environments.
Lonsto have experienced consultants who understand the demands that are placed upon front-end services, in both public and private sectors.
We use our experience with our extensive client base to demonstrate to existing and potential clients our understanding of how Q-Technology is implemented in a number of business applications.
