St Helier Hospital Pharmacy and SMS

Lonsto recently won a tender to supply and install a stand alone QMS with SMS alerts that helps to inform Patients at all stages of the Prescription process.

Due to the department being very busy at any given time, it was important to deliver a solution that extended in the Main Restaurant and Cost Coffee, but not limited to other areas in the hospital. Other challenges included, stand-alone installation with an isolated network setup, meaning the conventional SMS HTTP methods could not apply, as a work around we deployed a number of Moxa OneCell devices supported with fail-over limiting system redundancy.

Software modules required customisation and smoke testing to ensure that the system readiness along with the outlined features and functions worked seamlessly to carry out Phase 1 Operations with relative ease; Phase 2 brief was the extension of the Screens into the Main Restaurant and Cost Coffee, whilst taking valuable insight from the users to update the Digital Signage and Software Modules to carry out additional work flow processes.
